Wet Concrete Films is the production company of Steve Hutchinson, a filmmaker who writes and directs dramatic and documentary films and story-based marketing videos.
Steve studied screenwriting and film production at the prestigious Graduate Film Program at NYU. Prior to that Steve worked as a graphic designer and creative director for branding agencies in London and New York. This branding background combines with his knowledge of dramatics and story structure to create unique and compelling marketing videos.
While working at the agency Agenda he wrote and directed a video series about child malnutrition in Haiti, and hospital rejuvenation in Tanzania for Abbott Laboratories. For Samsung, he shot a story about high-school inventors in Philadelphia. And in New York State he wrote and directed a series of videos about the people of Hammermill Paper.
Steve’s short documentary Airtime Rights played at film festivals worldwide winning awards at the Chicago International Film Festival and SXSW. And his short documentary of a pimp's funeral has over a million views on YouTube.
Steve’s dramatic short, NIGHTS, is a story about a troubled garbage man and was the inspiration for the feature script Steve is writing about a New York constructor worker.
